I play in a competitive flag football league. Our season just ended and we are looking to improve our team. The games are on Sundays in Allentown and game time varies from 8am start to starting at noon. Games are 40 min long, but with time out's and halftime it usually lasts about an hour.

This is a 5 on 5 league. There is a defensive line and an offensive line. Most teams, including ours run a center, tight end (which is mainly a blocker), a qb and 2 wr's on offense and 2 pass rushers, 2 cb's, and 1 safety on defense. We play 2 seasons a year, 8 games each, one in the spring and one in the fall.

What we are looking for is committed players at any position. Would like to have people who at least have played high school ball but, as long as you are good and know the game, all are welcome to come out.

Like I said, we are looking for committed players. So just because you respond to this, doesn't mean you will make the team. We all understand that everyone has a personal life and can't always make it but we want players that at least show up to the majority of practices and games. Otherwise it really isn't helping us out.

Lastly, we are looking for team players. We don't want stat queens or people who will create drama on the field and/or within our own team. We have ref's and even though they shouldn't, if you piss them off, they'll call penalties on you or not give a call that should be there. Let you're play talk for you and keep the attitude in the car. It's ok to play like Ray Lewis and have his hunger on the field but we don't want the mouth.

Our league has over 150+ players and growing by about 3 per week. We currently play pick-up games at Forks Township Park every sunday @ 1:30 and Thursday @ 7:30PM (pls email me so I can send you an invite for our team website for the most updated times and days--we'll start earlier as it gets darker earlier). Depending on the number of players, we divide the games up based on ability. Ages range from 27-50+ and skill levels range from out-of-shape w/ little skill to good players from the UK, Caribbean, South American, Europe, and even one guy who played on their island national team; but most of are out-of-shape and just trying to have fun while we exercise. As soon as we get enough players (most likely this Spring), we'll start a 7v7 league for various skill levels. We also have a competitive 11v11 team and a winter turf team. Although we currently play closer to Easton (may change in the future as we get more players from other areas and can find other fields), a large number of our players come from Bethlehem and Allentown.

Just as the title states, I am seeking a beginner running partner. I began training for a 5K back in January and ran it in May. I did well, but then stopped running... and well working out period. I started a new job 2 1/2 months ago and have so far gained 14 lbs which is not too desirable on my 5 ft. frame. At any rate, I'm looking for someone to motivate me and vice-versa. I seem to need accountability to continue my workouts.

I live right by the Ironton Rail Trail, so someone living in Coplay or the Stiles, Hokey, or Egypt sections of Whitehall are probably most ideal.
