Before you think the price is too good to be true, let me say that I'm pretty sure this laptop is kaput. My pc guru said it would not be cost-effective for me to get it fixed, as I bought it in summer 2005 and it's time to move on. It showed "the blue screen of death," as I like to call it ... running diagnostics test was not helpful. Didn't have a virus, might be the system board (I think that's what he said, I do not speak computer). We've removed the hard drive to clean all of my personal stuff off the laptop, and my pc guy says clever tech people might want the laptop either for parts or to monkey around with and fix. He valued it at $100 so that's what I'm asking.
It's an HP Pavilion entertainment notebook PC, dv 1000 widescreen.
