This is a lovely vintage Asian-style chess set with a mother-of-pearl inlay case. The pieces are hand-carved in an ornate, non-standard style, depicting figures like emperors, empresses, and officials. The set includes a wooden storage case with a green felt interior and decorative mother-of-pearl inlay along the edge. The pieces are made from a material resembling crushed stone. The board table features a beautiful inlaid Mother of Pearl chess board with delicate MOP asian floral around the frame. There is a drawer on either side to store the figures and it rests on 4 small wooden legs. It is in PERFECT condition EXCEPT for one small piece of wood that was lost in the move and can easily be replaced.
