A lovely serene faced 8" (yes, only 8 inches tall) unmarked composition doll. She appears to be an early 1933, or so. Brown painted eye lashes, blue and black eyes, red mouth and white shoes. Brown (reddish tint) mohair. She is strung (arms and legs) and they move freely. The dress is actually originally sewn together and onto her. The inside of the dress has a netting type slip, which is also hemmed nicely as is her dress. Her panties are of a linen or muslin fabric -- also sewn together to keep into place.
CONDITION: Good, very well kept. I have her over 30years myself and kept her protected in a box wrapped in tissue paper. There are no crazing nor cracks in the composition. The white painted shoes show a little wear in the paint. She has lots of hair but you can see through on the back of her head. If one knew how to use the remaining hair, I'm sure it can be brushed over. I prefer not doing so. Her legs, of course, are connected by a rubber band which is separated and could be replaced, if necessary.
