UNUSUAL ANTIQUE CORNER CHAIR – Made in the late 1800s. The old, non-original upholstery – and maybe 10,000 upholstery nails – have been removed from this handsome frame. A few minor repairs were made, and the finish was carefully touched-up. Definitely not refinished; just spruced up a bit, leaving the original patina in place. It’s ready for upholstering (original springs included). Your upholsterer will appreciate the clean frame; that might even save you some bucks. Vertical kerf marks on the interior indicate the wood was cut with a bandsaw, not a more-modern circular saw. The four wooden casters are whole and original.
