Rans Rocket Recumbent Bike - $500 (Narberth)

RANS ROCKET RECUMBENT BIKE - $500

For those new to recumbent bikes: They are very comfortable to ride compared to traditional bikes that can cause pain and discomfort of the neck, shoulders, hands, wrists, and bottom, especially on longer bike rides. Recumbents have a different feel and balance from traditional bikes and take some practice and getting used to. But for many people, this is totally worth it.

The classic Rans Rocket has been a very popular bike over many years (it was built by an airplane manufacturer almost 20 years). Rans is a well known recumbent bike manufacturer and before production ended, the Rans Rocket retail price was over $2,500. The Rans seat systems are recognized as among the most comfortable in the recumbent industry.

This bike is of modest size by recumbent standards. It's 20x20 wheel combo allows it to be compact with decent seating height. It is relatively easy to fit on a conventional bike rack, easy to store, and easy to transport.

This bike is in excellent condition and ready to ride, with a few minor blemishes that do not affect any of the operating systems (things like scratches and rubs, and abrasions of the seat back mesh). The triple front chainring and the rear 7 speed gear cluster do not show wear and shift well through the grip shifters. The brakes are efficient in stopping the bike quickly. The tilting handlebar is adjustable for both height and distance and the seat is adjustable for both leg length and back angle, making the bike adjustable for a wide range of riders.
