I am offering for sale, ONE, Brand New, "PEELER SKIFF" boat build kit from Chesapeake Light Craft, AKA: CLC in Annapolis, MD.
It was my intent to build the 16', "Peeler Skiff" from a Kit by Chesapeake Light Craft. The Peeler Skiff is a 16', wood core, flat bottom boat with a V bow.
The core of the boat is Marine Grade plywood; Both the interior and exterior are fiberglass.
The same exact kit that I Purchased new in 2022 from CLC, is now $4205.00, plus tax and shipping! So a little over $4800.00.

I'M ASKING $2900 FOR PEELER SKIFF KIT.
I paid $3803.28 for the kit in 2022. I've included pictures of the invoices.
The kit has been in my humidity controlled basement since I purchased it new from CLC in 2022. The boxed parts are still unopened. b
Regrettably, shortly after purchasing both the boat kit and motor, I incurred a non reversible medical condition, which never allowed me to begin the build project.
My misfortune can be your good fortune!

The Peeler Skiff kit from Chesapeake Light Craft includes:
Pre-cut parts: Pre-cut wooden panels with pre-drilled tie holes and pre-cut joints
Epoxy and fiberglass: Heavy coatings of epoxy and fiberglass to stiffen the plywood structure
Flotation tanks: Foam-filled flotation tanks in the bow and stern that provide over 1,200 pounds of positive flotation
Shop manual: A 112-page shop manual with hundreds of photos and drawings that illustrate each step
Rails, inwales, and trim: Sapele mahogany rails, inwales, and trim
Bottom skids: Cypress bottom skids.
Center console option: A center console that can be added to an existing Peeler Skiff or incorporated from the beginning during hull assembly. The Peeler Skiff kit is designed for boatbuilders who have some experience with epoxy and woodworking.
I purchased the kit, the center console and the mahogany trim package. (The Center Console and Trim Package were both options when I made my purchases. The Center Console is still an option, but the trim package is now standard.)
The Peeler Skiff kit's plywood pieces are cut on a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine. This means the kit's parts are precisely cut using a computer-controlled machine that follows digital designs.
In essence, the CNC machine ensures the accuracy and precision of the cuts needed for the Peeler Skiff kit's construction, allowing the pieces to fit together seamlessly.
Specifically, the Peeler Skiff kits from Chesapeake Light Craft (CLC) feature computer-cut mortises, tenons, and miters, all helping the assembly to "slot together" for easy construction.
The CNC machine allows for intricate and detailed cuts, ensuring the plywood parts are precisely sized and shaped for a smooth and accurate build.
