Offering a set of six historic Moravian plates celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Moravian Church in 1957. These plates were produced at the Lamberton works of the Scammell China Co. in Trenton NJ in 1950. There were 12 plates altogether and this subset includes several noting the Moravian Church's advocacy of education of women and girls. Also included are six matching cups and saucers. The plates feature:
The 1742 Gemein House first place of worship
The 1744 Sisters' House
The 1746 Bell House first Girls' Boarding School in the US
The 1767 Widows' House
1748 Colonial Hall Young Ladies' Seminary
Interior of 1803 Central Church
The plates are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
I am living in Massachusetts but the plates can be seen in Bethlehem.
