I’m looking for a puppet maker / puppeteer / practical fabricator to help modify existing mascot style costumes into functional puppets.
This is not a from scratch build. I already have the mascot suits. The work is about:
• Adding or improving mouth/jaw articulation
• Internal hand controls / grips
• Improving head balance and performer ergonomics
• Making the characters readable and expressive on camera
Think Jim Henson energy, not theme park mascot stuff.
This is for a film / video project, not kids’ parties. Dark comedy, practical effects, retro vibe. If you’ve worked with foam, fabric, latex, animatronics-lite, or custom puppet rigs, you’re the kind of person I want.
Local to Bethlehem / Lehigh Valley preferred, but I’m open to nearby travel if you’re legit.
Paid gig. Rate negotiable depending on experience and scope.
