This car is tip top under the hood & underneath (entirely maintained & safe)
ALL records of inspections, parts, labor, & extra accessories included in sale.
As far as parts on the car, just about EVERYTHING has been maintained & replaced
within the last 6 years. Low mileage for a 1989..... New engine seals (Felspro Gaskets)
new valves, photos & records.
Interior & exterior can use a bit of help, but does not take away from the fact that this car is
safe & well maintained to get you from point A to point B.
Can drive smoothly (due to the weight of the car) in a foot of snow EASILY!
Drives like a tank in bad weather.....I helped push many cars AND four wheel drive trucks
that were stuck in a snowstorm with this car I'm glad to say!
(The four wheel trucks were lighter than the Olds 98)
Needs a battery, (bring one with you)
the idle can be adjusted if you know how to do it, (runs a bit faster than original factory settings "but reasonable)",
The transmission is smooth, but I would recommend that the gaskets be looked at within the next 2 years
for precautionary measures. (that's the only thing I didn't get to replace yet)
I am 3rd generation owner (1 original owner sold at 58,000 miles, family purchased,
then later signed to me)
I would recommend ND PREFER that YOUR mechanic verify the authenticity of what I am listing!
I have loved this car my entire life. In my opinion, & I have owned many vehicles, & this is the safest car & most satisfying
ride I have ever owned in my life. I have had 8 cars & without a doubt, this car handles ALL road conditions extremely well.
For it's weight, all steel including the rims, it really isn't that bad on fuel. After last tuneup, I averaged 21 city & 26-to 28 highway
Not too shabby for a heavy 1989 steel monster.
The drivers window clips needs to be replaced. (window currently propped up with wood)
(clips can be ordered for approximately $10 or less) Doors have double steel protection
which makes it hard to work on, so a person interested in this vehicle with general maintenance
knowledge will know what to do efficiently) Paint is factory, & is decent, but I would recommend
a paint job within 5-6 years.
Must sell cheaper than i's worth, (my estimated value with all that I have invested in the vehicle is $5000)
This one is a guaranteed safe & "reliable" vehicle. Bring a battery & take a drive.
($2500 offer is only good for two weeks only)!
Write me, we can meet up to see how serious you are about seeing it.
If you buy it, we will split the inspection cost will which run about $30 a piece.
