Monstera is a tropical climber. Grown from
a cutting removed from the parent plant on
site (see photo 4), this young specimen displays
excellent variegation.
It’s actively growing now, has produced
an aerial root (photo 8) and will require a
support stake in the near future. I will give
you a sturdy bamboo cane for this purpose.
Slits or fenestrations in the leaves will
develop as root strength increases and
plant matures.
Latin name: Monstera deliciosa variegata
Common name: Mexican Breadfruit
Personal pick up only, plant will not be mailed.
Avoid overwatering.
Keep the Monstera in a WARM and bright
location. Avoid drafty floors and chilly
windowsills. Situations too cold or too far
from a light source will result in poor growth.
