Now in their second year, these unique yellow
Alpine Strawberries produce plump, pale
yellow berries with the heavenly aroma and
flavor of pineapples and roses.
They do not set runners. They form a
bright green mound of foliage about 10” high.
Plants will grow larger and return each spring.
These Alpine strawberries began bearing last
year, their first season, offering pointy little
yellow gems with a flavor explosion.
Grown from seed by me, completely organic
with rich soil including homemade compost.
Full sun for best harvest, but part shade
will be tolerated. Works well in a hanging basket.
Latin name is Fragaria vesta.
