* the handle folds easily for transporting or off-season storage vertically along garage walls... it has an intelligent control that automatically speeds up the motor when it needs to, for cutting taller grass, then goes back to normal when it's no longer needed.
* the 5.0AH "extended run" battery is good for about 1 hour of mowing, charges fast, full charge in about 50 minutes. As with most cordless tools, the battery is the expensive part of the tool, this battery was a $275 battery. you can try it before you buy it, it runs flawlessly and performs like it did when brand new.
* electric mowers cost more $ to buy up front, but will save you a lot of money (and time) not buying fuel... so you pay more than a gas mower to buy it, but it saves you a lot of cash in the long run, I have been using electric yard tools for five years so I can tell you from experience. also no more maintenance to cost you money and time when the gas model mower won't start or run.
