Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Masonry Worker to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring structures using various masonry techniques. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, ensuring durability, safety, and aesthetic appeal across a range of projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, from new builds to renovations and restorations, utilizing your mastery of concrete, brick, stone, and other materials. Duties:
-Build and repair structures such as walls, facades, walkways, and decorative features using bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials
-Mix and pour concrete accurately for foundations, columns, and surfaces while ensuring proper curing processes
-Install rebar (reinforcing steel bars) to strengthen concrete structures according to schematics and blueprints
-Read blueprints and schematics to interpret project specifications accurately
-Operate power tools and hand tools safely for cutting, shaping, and finishing masonry materials
-Apply plastering, stucco, caulking, and trim carpentry techniques to enhance structural integrity and aesthetic appeal
-Use heavy equipment operation skills when necessary for lifting or moving heavy materials on-site
-Perform concrete finishing tasks such as smoothing surfaces and detailing edges for a polished look
-Engage in renovation projects by restoring old masonry structures with precision and care
-Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, metal stud framers, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution
Experience:
-Proven construction site experience with a focus on masonry work in diverse environments
-Strong knowledge of concrete forming processes and construction estimating principles
-Skilled in rebar installation, tile laying, framing carpentry, roofing, stucco application, and restoration techniques
-Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics interpretation for accurate project implementation
-Experience operating power tools including saws, grinders, mixers, and heavy equipment when required
-Ability to perform plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, welding, and heavy equipment operation as needed
-Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols on construction sites with a focus on quality craftsmanship
