Our company is looking for an experienced machine shop employee who can run a variety of machines, saw, milling machine, etc. and help to enhance the productivity of our organization.
Candidates should possess the following skills:
· Have a strong understanding in blueprint reading/ geometric tolerance interpretation
· Have knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts, and other accessories used on various machines.
· Have technical skills, good judgment, and pay attention to details
· Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
· Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing for demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
· Must possess basic math skills, including but not limited to, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra for the purpose of calculating and checking material fabrication.
Job Responsibilities
· Review and interpret drawings, manuals, and specifications, to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished product, the sequence of operations and set up requirements.
· Operate machines in accordance with safety protocols
· Ensure production rates are met or exceeded.
· Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
