Optimus portable PA system. Power with 110v AC or 12 v DC from a car cig power socket. This amp is very versatile. It can be used with 70 voltage speakers, 4, 8 or 16 ohm speakers. There is an auxiliary input jack for an external music source. An adapter from mini stereo headphone plug to rca jack is included as well as the owners/operating manual.
There are 2 radio shack long throw 15 watt horns at 8 ohm each. The horns are mounted on a collapsible tripod base that is adjustable in height up to approx 5ft. The horns can be individually adjusted for direction using the turn knob mounting bolts. There is a pre spliced double insulated 16 gauge speaker cable that is about 100ft long to allow flexible placement of the amp and speakers for an event.
This system is primarily designed for a quick setup PA system that is portable and very vocally crisp for rallies or events. Though music can be played through the system with included equipment, the quality is kind of tinny since there is no bass below 120hz reproduced by the speakers. If used for pregame music like the star spangled banner or something as an introduction for a public speaking event, that is an expected suitable use. A speaker level input powered subwoofer could be added and adjusted to provide deeper bass at 120hz and below if you plan to play more music and desire a fuller, richer music usage.
The adjustable speakers allow you to cover twice the number of people since they are on the base. There is also a Shure Brothers sm57 vocal dynamic microphone with a 10ft xlr cable that has an adapter to plug into the 1/4' mic input on the amp included.
I have used and rented this on a limited basis for outdoor public speaking events for everything from riverside wedding vow ceremonies, parking lot rallies, a golf cart walking tour thru a zoo, to timber rattlesnake handler tent events with only a pickup truck cigarette port for power. It is reasonable to expect coverage for a crowd up to 300 people. The vocal clarity was intelligible, even in a moderate wind, due to placing the speakers at the front center of the crowd and adjusting the throw angles of the 2 horns to your needs. The long speaker cable allows even more options. Since the amp and microphone need to be placed near AC or DC power and the location of the people talking, you have a 100ft leash to play with. Please check out my other listings that may compliment this purchase.
I have an 8inch 110volt Energy powered subwoofer I plan to soon list separately that would fit the betterment of the bass i mentioned above. It is not 12volt capable, so must have local power where rhe sub is positioned. Also check out the Samson wireless mic and receiver system with 1/4" to 1/4" patch cord i have listed. This amp accepts 2 mic inputs. I am willing to negotiate a bundle package sale price if you are interested in more than this one item. Please email or text me with questions!
