1982 Guild S 280 Flyer - Made in USA
From the interwebs - Cool and rare vintage shredder made by Guild.
The elongated body shape moves the center of
mass in a way to keep the neck up in playing
position when left hand is not supporting
it. Brilliant design! A true shredding machine
from the 80s.Guild produced the "S-280 Flyer" &
"B-302" bass with maple fretboards. These
guitars were built to shred with a one-piece
neck, which was slimmer and flatter than other
guitars. Guild's usage of maple is rare
because of Guild's focus on today's acoustic
lineup, but the rare "Flyer" with a maple cap
neck is a collector's item today.
These guitars were produced for one
year in this configuration with a solid
alder body, Khaler Pro tremelo with roller
bridge saddles that keep you in tune perfectly
while doing those dive bomber dives, the fine
tuners also work perfectly and have no slippage whatsoever.
-Guild really did a phenomenal job on these
-1 tone and 1 volume Guild speed knobs
3 way selector switch and sweetly hot very rare
"California" pickups made in Japan for Guild.
The 25 1/2inch scale length reminds you of the EVH
guitars that hit the market in the late 1990's.
