This guitar has some wear but is in good condition overall. A lot of the nicks/dings are pictured but I may have missed some of the more minor ones. There is the typical neck joint finish cracking you might expect from a bolt-on neck. The metal fretboard has some wear especially on the lower strings toward the nut, but functions properly and plays well. There is also some cloudiness to the clearcoat around the guitar (pictured.)


Like the title says, this guitar was owned and played by Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal. This is corroborated by photographic evidence (see the very identifiable grain line toward the top left horn that can be seen in some pictures of him with the instrument,) as well as the email correspondence in the last picture.

This is the older variant of the Surfretter that had the gold fretboard (I believe it was called delta metal,) vs. the more modern iteration that has "IMetal"

Hiscox hard case has some cracks (pictured,) and is missing the handle
