This strangely shaped, galvanized catch can was originally designed to be part of an oil can display device we used by our gas pumps when we still sold gas at our auto garage and oil came in round quart cans. It fit inside the display cabinet and caught the empty oil cans when they were pushed through a hole in the side of the display. Easy to empty when full, never rusted, still in good shape now. I have no need for it and hate to just recycle it.
It measures about 20" high, 9.5" across at the top and 13.5" across at the bottom. Doesn't leak. Very cool old vintage piece.
